Thank you so much for supporting William Charles Books. Each order means a lot.

Book Sales:
All sales are final

Because books are sold as limited-run retail items, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds.

Exchanges for quality issues

If your book arrives with a printing/manufacturing defect or is damaged in transit, we’re happy to help with an exchange for the same title (while supplies last).

Examples of eligible issues:

  • Missing, blank, or misprinted pages

  • Pages that are loose or improperly bound

  • Significant cover damage (tears, deep creases, crushing) on arrival

  • Water damage on arrival

What’s not eligible

We’re not able to exchange books for:

  • Buyer’s remorse or accidental orders

  • Normal wear and tear after delivery

  • Minor cosmetic variations that don’t affect readability

  • Damage that happens after delivery (spills, drops, pet damage, etc.)

How to request an exchange

Please contact us within 14 days of delivery so we can make it right.

When you reach out, please include:

  • Your order number (or purchase details)

  • A short description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the damage/defect (cover + any relevant interior pages)

What happens next

Once approved:

  • We’ll confirm your shipping address.

  • We may ask for additional photos or, in some cases, request the original copy back.

  • We’ll ship your replacement as soon as possible.

Shipping costs

If the issue is confirmed as a defect or shipping damage, we’ll cover the cost of the replacement shipment.

If a title is out of stock

If the same title is unavailable, we can offer (your choice):

  • A replacement when inventory is back, or

  • A comparable alternative (with your approval)

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of purchase will apply to your order.

Paid Pre-Orders

You are entitled to cancel your pre-ordered book within 7 days of publication release date without giving any reason for doing so, and in doing so you will receive a full refund of any payments collected for your pre-order.

In order to exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement.

We will reimburse you no later than 30 days from the day on which we receive the returned goods. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the order, and you will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.
